Rolic Technologies Ltd. is an innovative Swiss nanotechnology company based in Allschwil (Basel). We modify the surface of photosensitive materials using polarized light to achieve unique optical effects. Based on liquid crystal technology, we create methods, materials and products for use in the LCD industry and as security elements.

Thanks to our 60-strong workforce of highly skilled staff and leading scientists, we continuously develop and refine cutting-edge technologies. Rolic’s roots lie in the research laboratory of Swiss healthcare company F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. The latter outsourced the company as a spin-off. Since 1996, Rolic has been privately owned and has gained a firm foothold in the international market.
